Greener is better.
In an effort to become greener, lower our footprint and dependency on the city grid, we have implemented and incorporated several practices in all of our properties.
Our Sustainable Efforts
Solar Energy
We have installed photovoltaic panels that generate most of the electricity we require for the house.
UV Protected Windows
All exterior windows and glass doors have double security UV protected glazed in order to maximize insulation and reduce waste of energy.
LED Lighting
We have replaced all fluorescent and incandescent lighting with efficient warm 3000K low-energy-consuming LED lighting.
Automated Irrigation
We have a lot of gardens and plants that need to be watered. We employ automatic irrigation systems to make the best use of water and energy.
Water Collection
We collect rainwater that we employ in irrigation for the gardens.
Recycled Furniture
The vast majority of our wooden furniture is recycled and/or repurposed into what you see throughout the house. We believe in giving things a second life.
Water Dwells
We have dug and installed our own water dwells wherever permitted. We pump water during daylight to make use of our photovoltaic renewable energy production.
Local Plants
We believe that native local plants play a key role in the ecosystem and should be respected. This is why we use them throughout our properties.
Solar Heating
We use the sun to heat up water through water collectors that is used in showers and sinks.
Sensors
We employ movement and light sensors to help us determine when lights, and/or machines turn on an off throughout the house.
Ceiling Ventilators
In an effort to reduce AC usage, we have installed low-energy-consuming ceiling ventilators. In extra warm days you can use AC, in not so warm ventilators are an option.
Salt Water Pools
In an effort to reduce chemicals that harm our health, we removed all chlorine pools and switched them to salt water. They are better for the environment and your skin.
